The percentage of British and US military veterans who served in Afghanistan and Iraq and have confirmed PTSD highlights the critical need for mental health support, including evidence-based therapy options.

In 2024, the number of individuals referred to the NHS in the UK with PTSD was significant, yet only 4% of them received mental health support, including access to evidence-based therapy.

The likelihood that women with PTSD end their own lives is notably higher compared to non-sufferers, highlighting the critical need for evidence-based therapy and mental health support.

There exists an unmet need for support and management of PTSD
ACESO understands that PTSD affects diverse individuals from all walks of life. Yet many struggle to access appropriate tailored treatment due to long wait times, stigma, or a lack of personalised care. The condition varies widely and requires flexible, specialised, support that is often unavailable.

Limited availability of resources for most services
Available PTSD services are often underfunded, understaffed and unevenly distributed. Long waiting lists and inconsistent care leave many without timely, effective, support — worsening their condition.
The Aceso Pathway was created to address this.

Lack of awareness that a solution even exists
Many individuals and their families are unaware of existing PTSD support, leading to untreated suffering. Misconceptions and stigma further discourage people from seeking the help they need. The Aceso Pathway can provide prompt access to appropriate medical professionals and effective treatment.

A sense of being alone on your journey
Many individuals tell us that PTSD leaves them feeling isolated and without support.
You are not alone.

Our treatment pathway falls within the fields of medical and 1-to-1 eye-movement based treatments, combining a drug-based therapy with non-prescription options. This approach aims to resolve the mental and somatic (felt in the body) symptoms of PTSD / PTSI through evidence-based therapy. Additionally, it provides vital mental health support for patients who struggle to tolerate some psychological therapies, enabling them to undergo and benefit from alternative treatments, particularly EMDR.
Use the form on our Contact Page to reach out to us confidentially for more information on evidence-based therapy and mental health support, or call us directly at 01509 972 221.
